An animated bucket with capacity and refill rate, driven by manual taps or by steady, bursty and random traffic patterns. Plots the bucket level against every allowed and throttled request so the two separate limits become obvious: capacity is a savings account that forgives a burst, refill rate is the income you can actually sustain. Explains why an idle client can send ten requests instantly and be refused a second later, and why immediate retries make an empty bucket worse.
