Takes a position size in dollars and computes it as a share of each name’s average daily traded value over the last month, sorting the list into four tiers from trivial to trapped, with an estimate of how many sessions an exit would take. Adds average intraday range as a stand-in for cost of crossing the spread. Makes the point that liquidity is a property of the market rather than of your position, and that it is thinnest on exactly the day everyone wants out.
