A decision looks like a single thing until it passes through the prism: money, time, craft, people, risk, story and ease, each scored and drawn as a dispersed beam whose thickness is its score. The reading names which band is carrying the decision and which is dragging it, and argues that the average is the least useful number — decisions are lost on one band at zero being outvoted by six that shine.
